BRAZIL TO THE WORLD
Daniel Latorre, an extraordinaire from São Paulo, is the man of the HAMMOND ORGAN in Brazil. Studied piano and specialized to play jazz, blues and rock on B3, he received lessons from many north-american organ players like Deacon Jones (band leader of John Lee Hooker, Freddie King, he also was Jimmy Smith's student) and Reuben Wilson.

...Rob Mostert (dutch organ player) and important Brazilian artists/bands like Caetano Veloso, Lobão, Edgar Scandurra, Os Paralamas do Sucesso, Rita Lee (of Os Mustantes), Ed Motta, Jota Quest and many others. He has also performed with guitar player of Sepultura’s band, Andreas Kisser in his solo project (Brazil Rock Stars project 2000-2008). From 1995 to 97 worked for Editora Trama as editor's assistant and writer for the magazines Keyboard® and Guitar Player®, besides contributing with many other musical related magazines. From 1999 to 2015 worked as endorse for Viscount Organs® and Hammond-Suzuki@. From 2004 to 2014, Daniel had your own signature rotary speaker called Latorre MVTA, superving the project, it was a replica of the famous Leslie 122 manufactured by Meteoro® amplifier company.
In 2009 Daniel Latorre founded a band called Hammond Grooves and played countless shows not only in Brazil, but also in the European countries like Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, Netherlands and Poland, when in recent years they had three well received tours cross the country. Hammond Grooves released an album Funktastic and had invited special guests like Ronnie Cubber and John Pizzarelli, among many famous Brazilian artists for live concerts and festivals.
Daniel professionally restores vintage Hammond Organs, he has been studying this art for more than 20 years with Mr. Warwick Kerr Jr. famous certified Hammond Co. technician.
